The Primatics PLG210 Series positioning stage is the largest of our all-purpose PLG series stages. The PLG210 is ideal for high precision alignment and attachment, offering unparalleled flexibility—our design allows the user to fit a high performance product into a vast array of applications.
The Primatics PLG210 linear motor stage is ideal, both from a design and functionality standpoint—the compact design makes it one of the smallest linear motor stages on the market and its brushless motor provides exceptionally smooth motion. Additionally, the unique Prima-Flex cabling system and Prima-Seal enclosure system allows for sensitive parts (encoder and sensor circuits, for example) to be self-contained and protected from contamination and harsh environments. Encoder resolutions up to 0.1 microns are standard.
An ideal solution when overall size is a concern, the PLG210 frameless motor mounts directly onto the ball screw—this eliminates the need for a motor coupler and external motor, ultimately reducing the footprint of the positioner while maintaining accuracy and dynamic response.
IN-LINE MOTOR MOUNT
The inline version of the PLG210 accepts standard Imperial, NEMA 34 frame step and servo motors with 3/8 inch, 1/2 inch, 14 millimeter, shafts—because the motor mount is designed so its lower surface stays inside the cross-section of the positioner, the PLG210 eliminates any need for an additional plate to be installed under the base.
All PLG stages are available with a high flow purge option to help keep to the internal mechanics particle-free—carriage-spanning tabletop options are also available for ball screw motor drives.
All PLG160 performance specifications are verified with a laser interferometer system, and a full set of accuracy, repeatability, straightness and flatness plots are included with each stage. Additionally, each unit undergoes extensive burn-in and testing—these steps ensure that the stage will deliver optimal performance over a long period of time.
